Westin Mike the Pike review.
My own personal review of Westin Lures. I bought one to try it out, Mike the Pike, 42g Slow sink. The third or fourth time I used it, I caught a little jack pike. While I was reeling it in, it decided to do a few acrobatics, tail walking and head shaking etc. Then I saw the lure come out of the pikes mouth and thought I had lost the fish. But no, the lure had broken off behind the joint where it connects to the head, the treble was still in and I managed to land the fish. That was the first fish I had caught on a Westin lure and the bloody thing broke, and the thing of note is, the pike did not bite through the lure, the head of the lure was in its mouth and the body was hanging out of the side of the mouth, it was the pike shaking its head that caused the lure to break. Boy was I peed off, one fish per lure is not a good return for the money, £17.00 for the 42g lure. If you look at the photos, you can see there is a major flaw in the design. The rubber body is m
